Discover how artist Anna Deller-Yee reinterprets Belmond’s iconic gardens – from bergamot to jasmine – in a limited-edition festive candle and trinket tray celebrating global biodiversity.

From over fifty varieties of roses in the gardens at Castello di Casole to the vibrant flame lily found on Belmond Safaris, we are not only a custodian of remarkable properties but also of the landscapes that surround them. Our gardens and grounds span continents and ecosystems; together, they form a living tapestry of biodiversity cared for with intention and respect.

To travel with Belmond is to step into some of the world’s most enchanting flora and fauna. Think lemon-scented blossoms blooming in spring along the Amalfi Coast; English garden beds full of with special seasonal vegetables and vibrant orchid trails alive with butterflies in Peru. This deep-rooted connection to nature is a hallmark of our properties – and now, is a story captured in a new festive candle and trinket tray by artist Anna Deller-Yee.

Deller-Yee, an interdisciplinary artist and designer based between Milan and Berlin, moves fluidly between painting, textiles, fashion and installation, creating visual languages rich with layered textures and expressive floral motifs. After graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2021, she joined Marni’s creative team under Francesco Risso, where her poetic sensibility evolved into a distinct identity. Her portfolio spans global collaborations, including a capsule with Nike for the Olympics and hand-painted pieces for cultural icons such as Anna Wintour and Nicki Minaj.

For decades, Belmond has been renowned for commissioning world-class artists to reinterpret our spaces, stories and surroundings. From Wes Anderson’s reworking of the British Pullman’s iconic interiors to our global art installations with Daniel Buren, artistry is embedded in our identity and each commission is an invitation for leading creatives to explore our heritage through their own lens.

Tasked with bringing her signature language of vivid blooms and layered textures to Belmond for the festive season, Deller-Yee reimagined our gardens with fresh intensity. Her artwork for our candle and trinket tray channels tulips and roses drawing directly from the flora rooted in our landscapes. The result is a sensory keepsake: a celebration of nature’s abundance and the places where our stories take root to bloom.
