Day 1


Begin with a one-night stay at the Balmoral Hotel. Enjoy a half-day walking tour around the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which includes the Royal Mile and Grassmarket. Explore the city's cobbled streets, Arthur's Seat and Edinburgh Castle.

Day 2


Board the Royal Scotsman train, heading west through Falkirk and Craigendoran. Enjoy afternoon tea and catch a glimpse of Loch Lomond. Climbing up Glen Falloch, we continue north to Spean Bridge. Enjoy an informal dinner with entertainment.

Day 3


Continuing west, disembark at Arisaig for a stroll along Morar Sands. After lunch, a local highlander joins us at Glenfinnan Monument before tea at Inverlochy castle. After a stroll to Steall Waterfall, enjoy an informal dinner and nightcap.

Day 4

Isle of Bute

Today we visit the stunning Isle of Bute, an island rich in geology, history and wildlife. Enjoy a visit to Mont Stuart, a Victorian Gothic house with a beautiful collection of family portraits. Return to Wemyss Bay for a formal dinner on board.

Day 5

Inverlochy Castle Hotel

Enjoy breakfast as we start our journey back to Edinburgh. Disembark for a two-night stay at Scotland's finest luxury hotel, the Inverlochy Castle Hotel. Choose from a variety of activities within the 75,000 acres of grounds, from photography to fishing.

Day 6


Rejoin the train for breakfast and travel back in Edinburgh. Disembark for your onward travel arrangements.
