Fly to Cusco and enjoy an afternoon sightseeing tour with Jorge Escobar Medrano, Cusco Cathedral Curator and Chair Professor of History at the local university. Then settle in for a luxurious night at Belmond Palacio Nazarenas.
Today, visit Tambomachay, an ancient Inca religious site, and the remains of Qenqo, a labyrinth of staircases and channels carved into a rocky hilltop. Continue on to the formidable Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, with its wonderful panoramic view of Cusco.
