Day 1

Lima

Your journey begins in Lima. Take a private transfer from the airport to Miraflores Park, A Belmond Hotel. Soak-up the sensational ocean views and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 2

Lima

Head to a bustling local market, then continue to a nearby restaurant where the chef will show you how to prepare traditional Peruvian dishes. Later, explore the highlights of the city. Tour the Plaza Mayor, the cathedral, Government Palace and San Francisco Monastery.

Day 3

Sacred Valley

Fly from Lima to Cusco. On arrival, we’ll whisk you away to Rio Sagrado, A Belmond Hotel in the heart of Sacred Valley with a stop at a traditional textile center. At the hotel, the day is yours to relax and acclimatise. Enjoy a special lunch by the river, including a variety of dishes featuring local ingredients.

Day 4

Sacred Valley

Embark on a scenic drive, visiting Ollantaytambo, one of the oldest continuously occupied settlements in the Americas. Next continue to the Maras salt planes and Moray.

Day 5

Machu Picchu

Meet Hiram Bingham, A Belmond Train at Ollantaytambo station. Savour a delicious lunch as you journey towards Machu Picchu. The afternoon is yours to explore the Inca Citadel. Return to Cusco by Hiram Bingham, enjoying a gastronomic dinner en-route to Palacio Nazarenas, A Belmond Hotel.

Day 6

Cusco

Immerse yourself in the culture of Cusco, starting with the city’s central market. Visit the cathedral on the Plaza de Armas, the Santo Domingo Temple, the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman and more. Enjoy a delicious Peruvian dinner at Mauka Restaurant.

Day 7

Lake Titicaca

Enjoy breakfast at Palacio Nazarenas before meeting the Andean Explorer, A Belmond Train at Wanchaq station. Dine deliciously throughout the day, visiting La Raya as you journey towards Lake Titicaca.

Day 8

Lake Titicaca

This day begins with a once-in-a-lifetime experience: watching the sunrise over Lake Titicaca. Enjoy breakfast aboard the train, then head to the floating island of Uros. After lunch, resume your train journey with pre-dinner cocktails and a feast en-route to Saracocha.

Day 9

Colca Canyon

This morning you visit Lagunillas and the Sumbay Caves before ending your train journey in the early afternoon. Transfer to Las Casitas, a haven surrounded by the beauty of the Colca Valley.

Day 10

Colca Canyon

Start the day with a visit to Condor’s Cross, to see the condors soaring on the air currents. Continue to the town of Maca to learn about local life in the valley. Savour a delicious lunch. Back at the hotel, choose to explore the valley on horseback, or join our fun-filled cocktail class.

Day 11

Lima

All too soon, your gastronomic adventure comes to an end. Take a gourmet lunch with you as you transfer to Arequipa for a flight back to Lima. Continue with your own onward travel arrangements.
