Sunrise above the clouds
Jump in a 4x4 jeep from Reid’s Palace and we’ll take you up above the clouds to watch the sun rise from the 1,818-metre Pico do Arieiro, Madeira's third highest peak. The views are sure to take your breath away.

Voyage to the Desertas
Take a thrilling boat ride across the waves to Madeira’s Desertas Islands, keeping a look out for dolphins and whales on the way. This small uninhabited archipelago is brimming with caverns and grottos to explore. You’ll also spot a family of rare Mediterranean monk seals, including Zarco our much-loved mascot.

Botanical Art Workshop
Join local dried flower artist Tristoas and learn how to create beautiful compositions using a selection of dried and pressed flowers.
All the botanical ingredients for your workshop have been handpicked from our grounds, featuring tree and flora specimens from all over the world.
Let your creativity flow and take home a unique souvenir from our famous gardens.

Garden Tour
Step into our own Madeiran fairytale.
Running twice weekly, a guided stroll through the hotel’s subtropical gardens offers an insight into the island’s abundant native flora. Led by an expert horticulturalist, you’ll receive tips to recreate your own slice of paradise back home.
Available Wednesday and Friday at 3:30pm.
