Itinerary

Singapore

Your journey begins as you cross the Johor Causeway into Peninsular Malaysia. Soon enjoy Ian’s take on a British afternoon tea, reimagined with a Thai twist.

Later, dress for an exquisite dinner in the Restaurant Car. Head to the Bar Car for cocktails as our resident pianist plays. Retire to your cabin, which has been transformed into an inviting bedroom.

Kuala Kangsar

After breakfast alight in Kuala Kangsar. Weather permitting, you can choose between a guided tour of a traditional village or a hill trek.

Rejoin the train for lunch. Later head to the Restaurant Car for the gastronomic highlight of the trip: a spectacular three-course dinner prepared exclusively for the occasion by Chef Kittichai.

Bangkok

Disembark for your choice of tour. The Classic visits the River Kwai Bridge and the Thai-Burma Railway Museum. Tracks to Unseen Thailand lets you cycle through rice paddies, stopping at a local farm.Alternatively, join Ian on the Local Flavours tour where you will explore the wet market, a rice noodle house and combine a raft cruise with a cooking lesson.

Back on board, lunch is served as you continue towards Bangkok, arriving in the late afternoon. Alight here for your onward travels.
