Destination Guide: Unlock St.Martin
St. Martin has a unique heritage. After 140 years battling for its control, French and Dutch colonists decided, in 1648, to divide the territory between them. And from the moment you enter this tropical paradise, you’ll understand why neither were willing to leave.Read the guide D
Reclining on a Caribbean beach? We know, it sounds obvious, but this is a beach you’ll never want to leave. Be swept away by our own private stretch of shoreline with comfy cabanas, Wi-Fi and champagne on cue. We’ll also arrange kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkel gear, so you can go wild among the waves.
Once you have explored all 37 square miles of St. Martin, chat to our Concierge about arranging a boat trip to one of our neighboring islands. After all, chic St. Barts and Anguilla (home to our sister hotel, Cap Juluca) are both just a short ride away.
Head south of Philipsburg to former Dutch defences Fort Willem and Fort Amsterdam. A brief trek takes you to the summit with spectacular views out to sea. You’ll also come across a major pelican breeding ground, where you can admire these majestic birds in flight over the bay.
