When and where does the train travel?
The Belmond British Pullman travels year-round to a wide variety of destinations.
Departure stations include London Victoria, Truro and Penzance.
Can you guarantee a table for two?
Tables for two are limited. We are happy to take your request, however this is not a guarantee and there is a chance that you will share a table for four with another couple.
When will we receive our confirmed itinerary and travel documents?
Your travel documents and itinerary will be sent to you by post once we have received confirmed timings from Network Rail (approximately 5 to 7 days prior to departure).
Can we travel overnight?
No. The train does not have sleeping compartments. However, we do offer weekend journeys.
Are all our meals and drinks included?
While you are on board your meals and drinks, as described in the itinerary, are included. A selected range of alternative alcoholic drinks are also available for purchase.
Can you cater for special dietary requirements such as vegetarian?
Yes. If notified at the time of booking, we will do our best to comply with any dietary requirements. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide meals requiring strict religious observance in preparation.
Can people with disabilities travel on the train?
We are able to accommodate passengers with slight walking difficulties. However, we recommend they are accompanied by a carer. We regret that our carriages cannot be boarded on wheelchair. Staff are able to assist passengers to their seats and folding wheelchairs can be stored during the journey.
Some journeys are not suitable for people with disabilities. Should you have any special requirements please contact your nearest reservations office.
Can children travel on board?
Journeys are planned to maximise the enjoyment of the scenery while fine food, champagne and wine are served at your table. We have a superb selection of journeys for families. Families will be seated in a designated area of the trains.
What do I need to wear on board?
Belmond British Pullman is the perfect place to celebrate, dress up, and enjoy world-class cuisine and service. To maintain an elegant and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests, we have certain dress code expectations.
Please avoid casual clothing, including ripped denim, trainers, baseball caps, collarless T-shirts and shorts. We reserve the right to ask guests not suitably attired to change, otherwise we may refuse boarding.
While jackets and ties are not essential, smart attire and even formal dress is welcomed. You can never be overdressed aboard our beautiful train.
Can I smoke on board?
Belmond British Pullman operates a no smoking policy.
Will I need travel insurance?
The Belmond British Pullman recommends that you purchase adequate travel insurance for your trip, including cover for loss of deposits and/or other costs that you might incur if you cancel your reservation. Belmond cannot be held responsible for any loss of this kind. Details are contained within the booking conditions.
Can you arrange accommodation if we want to stay overnight in London?

Can I bring luggage on board the train?
We can certainly accommodate a small overnight bag (normally the size of an airline cabin luggage) onboard the train. Once you board the train simply hand this to your dedicated steward and they will ensure it is securely and safely stowed for you.
Can I get a group discount?
Yes. The minimum number of passengers required to qualify for a group discount is 12. The Belmond British Pullman can also be chartered. Further details are available in the Groups section of this site.
Can I get married on board the train?
No, we do not hold a wedding license. It is possible for a blessing to take place on board after the formal marriage.
Is the Belmond British Pullman a historic train?

Is the train pulled by a steam engine?
Yes, on selected dates. Where advertised, every effort is made to operate using steam traction for all or part of the journey. It is possible that diesel or electric traction may have to be substituted at short notice. In this event a full or partial refund may be apply.
Can I buy souvenirs or presents on board?
Yes. Smaller items can be purchased on board, while larger gifts can be ordered through our catalogue.
