Board our quintessentially British train to visit the magnificent Nyetimber Estate in West Sussex. Indulge in exceptional cuisine and convivial conversation, then alight to discover the secrets of Nyetimber’s sparkling success.

Your journey begins as you board the British Pullman train at London Victoria Station. Surrounded by nostalgia and symbolism, note the beautiful details, from your steward’s iconic uniform to the exquisite craftsmanship of your 1920s carriage. A comfortable armchair awaits you at a pristine table with a view. As you travel towards the South Downs, linger over a delicious three-course brunch. Take the opportunity to slow down, reconnect and let time take on new meaning.

Alight from the train and board a coach for the short transfer to Nyetimber. You’re greeted with a chilled glass of Nyetimber Classic Cuvée MV. Take a seat in the splendid 16th-century barn or wander into the courtyard to soak up the views of the restored Manor House. As you enjoy your first sip, the Nyetimber Ambassadors will give you an insight into what makes their vinous masterpieces so special.  

Next, a guided tour of the vineyards takes you through some of England’s oldest vines. Accompanied by a South Downs National Park Ranger, you’ll also enjoy an introduction to the rolling hills that form the backdrop to the vineyard. Following the tour, head to the oldest of the two medieval barns on the estate, dating from the 15th century. Here you will learn more about the winemaking process and enjoy a tasting of three Nyetimber wines: Rosé, Blanc de Blancs and Cuvee Chérie.

Before you return to the station, there will be time to relax in the idyllic surroundings and perhaps visit the cellar door to purchase your new favourite label. Naturally, you’re welcomed back on board British Pullman with a glass of Nyetimber, which is soon followed by a sensational three-course dinner and our sommelier’s choice of wine. Coffee and petits fours are served before you arrive back in London.
