Champagne Veuve Clicquot Afternoon Tea

Your Journey

Enjoy the quintessentially British experience of afternoon tea as the British Pullman train takes you on a round-trip through Britain’s beautiful countryside.

Set off on an effervescent excursion aboard the iconic British Pullman. Today, your sumptuous Afternoon Tea is imbued with extra sparkle thanks to one of the world’s most prestigious champagne brands. Reims-based Maison Veuve Clicquot has been creating luxurious champagnes since 1772. It is named after Madame Clicquot who, widowed at 27, was the first woman to run a champagne house. The brand was also the first to create rosé champagne by adding still red wine to the sparkling. Served at some of the most glittering social gatherings around the world, Veuve Clicquot is a Royal Warrant Holder, meaning it’s the champagne of choice for the British Royal Family.

Your journey begins at London Victoria Station, where you join the immaculate art deco train. Your steward will escort you to your table set with pristine white linen and bespoke china. Settle into your plush seat and absorb the stunning details of your vintage surroundings, from polished marquetry and brass luggage racks to lavish textiles. Each carriage is unique and has a fascinating story to tell.

As the train begins its journey through Greater London and into the Weald of Kent, you’ll be served an exquisite array of savoury delicacies and indulgent pastries, together with refreshing tea and half a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne per person. Soak up the changing views through your picture window as you relax into the convivial ambience on board. After your round trip, arrive back at London Victoria and alight with sweet memories to treasure.
