About

Leeds Castle

Originally built in 1119 as a Norman stronghold, Leeds Castle’s dramatic history has seen the building evolve to match the tastes of the time. One of its most notable owners was King Henry VIII, who transformed the castle into a beautiful home for his first wife, Catherine of Aragon.

It is surrounded by 500 acres of breathtaking parkland and formal gardens. Boasting a maze, a grotto and bird of prey centre, it is one of the UK’s most popular attractions.
