Fleur de Lys: LA SEMAINE DES GRANDS CRUS

Transfer from Paris to join Fleur de Lys at St-Léger-sur-Dheune. Take the opportunity to meet your crew over a champagne reception.

In the afternoon, meet a local wine expert who will be joining you for dinner. Savour sophisticated cuisine accompanied by a fine selection of vintages, such as Montrachet, Chablis and Mazis-Chambertin.

Your leisurely cruise this morning takes you along the Canal du Centre to Chagny. You'll pass through the picturesque vine-coated hills of the Santenay Valley en-route.

Savour lunch on board, then alight to explore Beaune with your guide. Start at the Hôtel-Dieu, an architectural icon of medieval Burgundy. This former 15th century hospital is both beautiful and fascinating.

Next, visit Maison Joseph Drouhin where you'll discover the family's unique wine cellar—an amazing labyrinth of caves. Enjoy an exclusive tasting of Grand Crus before returning to the barge for dinner.

Your gourmet dinner this evening will be accompanied by a magnificent selection of Burgundy vintages.

After breakfast, relax on deck with a morning at leisure. Later on, alight to explore the Côte de Beaune district. Enjoy an extensive tasting menu at La Table d’Olivier Leflaive in Puligny-Montrachet. Take a tour through the vineyards, home to fields of Montrachet and other well-known white Grands Crus.

The exploration continues as you drive to Beaune to visit the historic cellars of Domaine Remoissenet. Enjoy a wine tasting before returning to the barge for another fabulous Grands Crus dinner. Look forward to vintages including La Grande Rue, La Romanée and Charmes-Chambertin.

Your cruise continues along the enchanting River Saône. After lunch, alight to visit a unique barrel making workshop, where your host Fredrick Gilet will introduce you to his ancestral tradition. You'll even get the chance to build your own barrel.

After a fun-filled afternoon, head to the prestigious Maison Champy for a private tour of its winery built by Gustave Eiffel himself. Enjoy a barrel tasting with the house's wine expert before this evening's dining experience is revealed.

Enjoy a leisurely morning on board as you cruise along the Canal de Bourgogne towards Dijon.

After lunch on board, set off on a scenic drive towards Clos de Vougeot. Take a private tour of this illustrious château, headquarters of the famous Chevaliers du Tastevin. Your tour continues to the world-renowned vineyards of La Romanée-Conti.

Return to the barge and freshen up for dinner. Tonight you will dine in the private cellars of Domaine Drouhin-Laroze, owned by Philippe and Christine Drouhin. Philippe will introduce a selection of Grands Crus, such as Chapelle Chambertin and Musigny. Christine has prepared some classic Burgundy dishes to complement each vintage.

Your final tour of the week is to the stunning city of Dijon, capital of Burgundy. Stroll through the lively centre and accompany the barge’s chef to the open-air market. Select the best local ingredients which will then be used to create a delicious lunch.

A farewell gala dinner awaits this evening, accompanied again by a selection of Grands Crus. Their fame and exclusivity ensure this will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
