The Spa at Belmond Charleston Place is proud to announce a social media campaign aimed to raise awareness for its “I Will Reflect” Melanoma Awareness and Prevention initiative. The campaign will feature prominent Charleston ambassadors and important sun safety messages. Expect to see local doctors, teachers, and tastemakers during May, Melanoma Awareness Month, and throughout the summer months.
“With this campaign, we aim to educate the Charleston community about the importance of sun safety, skin protection and the significant dangers of melanoma,” says Annette Sandford-Lopez, Director of The Spa at Belmond Charleston Place. The “I Will Reflect” social media campaign will use Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as its channels of communication for sharing advice from local physicians, stories from skin cancer survivors, and everyday sun safety tips. The featured ambassadors pledge to do the following:
I Will Reflect…
- … and wear sunscreen all-year round.
- … and use a minimum of 15 SPF Broad Spectrum sunscreen.
- … and seek the shade between 10am and 4pm.
- … and have an annual full-body skin check.
- … and share this important message with friends and family.
