What are the check-in/check-out times at Maroma?
Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is from 12pm.
What activities do you have for children?
Little ones are spoiled at Maroma. In La Casita Encantada, a lovely air-conditioned palapa nestled in the jungle, we have an exciting kid’s club which is perfect for children aged 4–12. There are six unique activites for children every single day, from creating art with leaves to cookery classes, ceramic paintings and music sessions. You can view the full schedule here.
Is Maroma all inclusive?
No, we are not an all-inclusive resort.
Does the hotel have an issue with seaweed or sargassum?
To ensure our beach is kept in pristine condition, our diligent team conducts thorough monitoring of Sargassum accumulation on our shores. This occurs daily at 7:00am and we make certain that there is minimal disturbance to our guests. As part of this monitoring process, we utilize specialized machinery to effectively collect, remove, transport and ultimately dispose of the accumulated Sargassum.
Can I have the included breakfast as room service?
No, breakfast is only included at Casa Mayor restaurant.
Does the hotel offer a day pass?
No, our facilities are for guests only.
Do you cater to vegan or gluten free diets?
All of our restaurants include plenty of options for vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets.
Is tipping expected and is service charge included?
Tipping is at our guests’ discretion. Service charge is included in the room rate, but service is not included as standard in our restaurants and bars.
Is the Guerlain Spa available to external guests?
Yes, it is available for external guests.
How much does it cost to get married at Maroma?
Weddings at Maroma are fully customized for each couple, and so the price of each wedding varies. With the space to invite up to 200 guests and with a variety of event spaces from the jungle to the shoreline, we host memorable weddings in a variety of styles, including religious, Mayan, LGBTQ+ and civil ceremonies. When was Maroma renovated?
Maroma re-opened in 2023 following an extensive renovation and redesign. Crafted according to timeless, sacred principles, we used talented local artisans and master craftspeople to ensure that the property reflected and embodied the spirit of the Riviera Maya.
Do you have kosher restaurants?
We do not offer kosher restaurants as standard. However, for groups and weddings, we are able to offer a temporary kosher kitchen in our Palapa Tolok space.
Does Maroma have a gym?
Yes, Maroma has a gym. Our state-of-the-art fitness center is an airy, light space featuring natural bamboo cane ceilings and natural light. Choose from a selection of equipment including weights, presses, treadmills and more, alongside a selection of daily fitness and wellness classes.
How many rooms do you have?
Maroma has 72 rooms and suites, including a specialist Wellness Suite and several villas with private pools.
Is Maroma pet-friendly?
We welcome well-behaved furry friends at Maroma weighing 28lb or less. We charge a non-refundable fee of USD 200 per pet, per stay and we ask you to keep your dog on a leash at all times around the hotel and grounds.
We’ll spoil your pooch with welcome gifts and provide waste bags, a dog bed and bowls and beach amenities. Our dog menu is full of delicious and nutritious meals including organic chicken breast, meatballs, eggs and vegetables. Travel
What is the price for transportation to and from Cancun Airport and how do I book a transfer?
We are around a 30 min drive (40km/25m) from Cancun International Airport (CUN) and we offer private transfers to bring you to Maroma in style. For travel in an SUV for up to 5 passengers, the cost is 190 USD each way. For travel in an electric Mercedes Benz for 2-3 passengers (luggage dependent), the cost is 175 USD each way.

How far away is Playa del Carmen?
Playa del Carmen is less than 20km away from Maroma and the journey normally takes around 20 minutes by car. We can arrange taxis for you should you wish to visit this thriving nightlife hot spot.
Accessibility & Safety
Is Maroma wheelchair accessible?
Some, but not all, of our areas are wheelchair accessible. With advance notice, we are able to organise the placement of ramps for guests using wheelchairs. Please get in touch to notify us of your needs.
What do you do if there is a hurricane?
In the event of severe weather, Maroma closely monitors the progress of any potential or active hurricanes in our area. Should precautionary measures be required, we promptly keep guests informed and provide guidance from our well-trained staff. Comprehensive protocols are in place for hurricanes of all levels of severity, and our team is fully prepared to respond to every possibility.
