Check-in is at 2pm and check-out is at 11am.
What currency is used in Peru, and what is the tipping etiquette?
Peru’s official currency is the Peruvian sol. Tipping is appreciated but not always expected. In taxis, tipping is not necessary, though a small tip may be given for exceptional service. For tour guides, a tip of $5–$10 USD (approximately 15–30 soles) per day is customary, while porters, drivers, cooks and similar staff typically receive $3–$5 USD (9–15 soles) per day; private drivers are often tipped $5–$10 USD per day, depending on the level of service. In hotels, porters are usually tipped about $1 USD (2–3 soles) per bag, while tipping housekeeping or room service is optional and based on service quality. In restaurants, a 10% tip is standard in larger or upscale establishments and may already be included in the bill; additional tipping is optional for exceptional service. In mid-range restaurants, tipping is optional, though leaving 1–2 soles is a kind gesture, and no tip is expected in budget or family-run eateries.
Are pets allowed at Las Casitas?
Dogs are allowed only in the Garden View Casitas, with a fee of $100 USD per night, including taxes. Each room may accommodate one dog. Pet amenities include a dog bed and food and water bowls. Dogs are not permitted in public areas such as the restaurant, spa and gift shop.
In accordance with Peruvian Law No. 29830, no fee is required for guests accompanied by guide dogs. Guide dogs must be registered with CONADIS and have accreditation from a school recognized by the International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF), along with certification of hygiene and health compliance issued by the Peruvian Veterinary Medical Association or, where unavailable, by SENASA (National Agrarian Health Service).
