About

The journey of the Belmond boats started with the acquisition of five iconic luxury river boats in France. These were former cargo boats during World War II, or river boats originally used as commercial freight-carrying barges.

With each of the boats having a storied past, their elegant interiors are curated to meet the best standards of accommodation. Coquelicot, our signature floating villa, was reimagined by designers Humbert and Poyet to capture the very essence of the Champagne region. Onboard Marguerite, the newest boat in our collection, modern design is paired with French antiques, creating a relaxed sanctuary rooted in regional heritage.
