History

Palacio Nazarenas has had many roles through centuries, from an Inca temple to a private palace reimagined in the 1500s for Mancio Serra de Leguizamón, a wealthy Peruvian warrior. In 1644, Jesuits transformed it into a college for aristocratic children, later a convent.

Preserving its regal Spanish architecture, Belmond acquired and restored the property, reopening it in 2012 as Cusco’s leading luxury hospitality landmark.
