The Estate

Magical aerial view of Castello di Casole at dusk, with the hotel, outdoor cinema and terrace illuminated with pretty lights.

Castello di Casole exists in harmony with the land and draws on centuries of farming heritage to create a modern expression of farm to table cooking

Restaurants & Bars

A woman with a towel hair-wrap drinks tea from a porcelain botanical-print cup, seen at eye-level over a table of pastries.

Anticipate the unforgettable taste of Tuscany, where each menu embraces the heritage and ingredients of the region.

The history of the estate winds back 2,500 years to the Etruscans, a time of booming trade and craft enlightenment. The heart of the hotel was once a medieval castle, built in 998 to capitalise on the location’s sprawling views. The aristocratic Bargagli family cultivated the site further during the 1800s, and families of nobility carried through the 20th century, issuing a call to the world’s international elite.

This was when director Luchino Visconti took over, adding a splash of Hollywood grandeur that still resonates today.
