At 4,338 metres above sea level, La Raya Pass is one of the world's highest – and most spectacular – railway crossings. We pause here to take in the breathtaking panorama of snow-capped Andean peaks stretching to the horizon. This dramatic setting is also home to one of the world's highest markets; here, we meet the local artisans showcasing beautifully handcrafted textiles and souvenirs made from alpaca wool using traditional indigenous techniques.
