Our expansive swimming pool is not only one of the finest in Europe, but also the only one in central Venice. As the social heart of Hotel Cipriani, it’s the ultimate place to see and be seen.

Its impressive size is the result of a happy accident. When originally installed, a mix-up led to a far larger pool than planned. Owner Giuseppe Cipriani had no objections. When his financial backers arrived and exclaimed, “We didn’t agree to an Olympic-sized pool!”, Giuseppe simply replied, “But that’s exactly what we settled on with your architect... 25 by 50 meters.” To which they responded, “No, we said 25 by 50 feet!”. Regardless of its unexpected dimensions, the pool has since become one of Venice’s most exclusive attractions and a beloved gathering place.
