The Dining Cars

Dining aboard the Eastern & Oriental Express is an experience as memorable as the journey itself, where guests enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner within the two exquisitely designed dining cars, Malaya and Adisorn.

Both restaurant cars offer an atmosphere of refined elegance, seating 28 guests at intimate tables for two and four. The Malaya Dining Car draws inspiration from lush tropical landscapes, with layered corals, rich greens and batik-inspired detailing reflecting Malay artistry and wild orchids.

Meanwhile, Adisorn Dining Car evokes the serenity of emerald tea plantations through ombré green carpets woven with gold-thread motifs inspired by traditional Thai Ikat silk. Completing the experience are elegant finishing touches, including hand-cut crystal glassware, Italian-designed chinaware and silver cutlery crafted by Orfeverle Chambly of France.
