Accommodation
Unwind amid plush furnishings, luxury linens and handcrafted furniture in our magnificently restored 1920s cabins – the perfect place to rest after a day’s adventure on the rails.
L’Observatoire
L’Observatoire is an entirely exclusive carriage aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express.
Imagined by the pioneering French artist and photographer JR, L’Observatoire is your own private residence on the rails: a secluded world of extraordinary space, craftsmanship and personalised service.
Grand Suites
Our six Grand Suites represent the pinnacle of luxury in motion. Designed as a refined, residential sanctuary, each suite has separate lounge and sleeping area and showcases the finest in French & Italian craftsmanship, evoking the golden age of grand touring. Meanwhile, marbled en-suite bathrooms mean you can refresh in style with curated vanity sets and bespoke luxury bathrobes.
Suites
With double or twin bed configurations, each Suite immerses guests in diverse European scenery through glorious colours, patterns and textures. Plush fabrics and furnishings channel famed Art Deco designers, such as Dufrene and Lalique.
Each has a private marble en-suite bathroom and mosaic floor, and a lounge area by day as your bed converts to seating area. There are 4 Suites per carriage.
Historic Cabins
Travel as you would in the 1920s and take in Europe from the romantic setting it deserves with your own private historic twin cabin. Banquette seating offers the perfect vantage point to watch the landscape by day, while convertible sleeping berths transform the cabin into an intimate retreat by night.
Each cabin features a washbasin cabinet and specially curated amenities for your journey. Shared restrooms are located at the end of each sleeper carriage; there are 8 Historic Cabins per carriage.
