In partnership with Parley for the Oceans, the facade of the Copacabana Palace was transformed into an open-air gallery to shine a spotlight on the fragility of the oceans. Throughout the year, our teams embark on beach clear-ups and hold talks about the importance of ocean conservation.

Heritage and artistic dialogue have been at the core of Belmond’s vision since our inception in 1976. With “Halte colorée pour Copacabana Palace,” acclaimed French artist Daniel Buren transformed the façade of our beachfront palace for MITICO, an art project in collaboration with Galleria Continua.
