The image of Etna is tied to the spirit of Sicily, with legends dating back to the gods and goddesses of the Roman and Greek empires.
Immerse yourself in some of these stories as you scale the volcano’s north side, ascending from 2,000m to 3,000m in a Mercedes-Benz. You’ll take in sights including the Valle del Bove, the Valle del Leone and the 2002 craters that define Europe’s highest active volcano.
We suggest bringing a spare T-shirt, long trousers, comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses and sunscreen. This activity can be paired with wine tasting and lunch at a choice of local restaurants.
