Our story began in 1850 as a humble guesthouse for the art scene andpainters who were drawn to Taormina by the scenic views. German artist Otto Geleng stayed with us to witness the wonders of the Greek Theatre, and his paintings from our terrace captured the world’s imagination. The first hotel to be built in Taormina, we harness the history and mystique of nearby Mount Etna and Greek theatre.
