As part of the architectural ensemble of Copacabana Palace, the theatre is a listed heritage building. The careful renovation respects the space’s elegant beauty and prestigious history.
The theatre’s past identity plays a large role in the new design, while infusing Copacabana Palace’s pioneering contemporary spirit into the space.

Visit our re-designed café, which offers a convivial space for conversation, laughter and meetings. Its exquisite wooden paneling and ceiling with hand-carved wooden flowers further enhances the entrance.
In addition to the café, the theatre's intimate and refined lounge is ideal for a pre-show cocktail. Take a seat on our sumptuous curved sofa in green velvet which, combined with the golden brass wall, adds a further touch of elegance.

An Unforgettable Experience
One of the highlights of the renovation was the ability to create new spaces between the post-fire structure and the existing masonry. Audience seating has been enhanced with more boxes, bringing the capacity up to 332 people.
From the lobby to the dressing rooms, mobility and accessibility were crucial to the project. Accessibility for wheelchair users extends to the stage, reached via an elevator.
To provide an even more enriching experience, the proscenium was extended to 8.03 meters wide x 6.50 meters high. The scenery structure was completely re-designed and a high-tech audiovisual system installed, guaranteeing perfect acoustics and lighting.
