Suite Pantaleone and Suite Emilia are named after hotelier and vineyard owner Pantaleone Caruso and his wife Emilia, the couple who, in 1893, launched the Pensione Belvedere in a wing of an 11th-century palace that would become today’s Caruso, A Belmond Hotel.
