- Mount Portofino
Stretching along over 7,000km of rugged coastline, the Cinque Terre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and protected national park carved into the terraced hillsides. Here five distinctive seaside villages are suspended between land and sea, each with its own story and charm.
Departing from Portofino, you’ll first reach Monterosso al Mare, beloved for its wide beach and vibrant seafront promenade. Continue to Vernazza, a naturally sheltered harbour and the only secure landing point along the coast. High above the water, Corniglia offers a quieter charm, set among rolling vineyards. Finally, Manarola and Riomaggiore complete the journey.
Walking times between the villages:
Monterosso – Vernazza: 2 hours
Vernazza – Corniglia: 1 hour 30 minutes
Riomaggiore – Manarola: 30 minutes
