World Bee Day
In May 2025, Maroma, a Belmond hotel in Mexico’s Riviera Maya, teamed up with Guerlain to host a special group trip to create buzz surrounding World Bee Day. The mission was to raise awareness around the importance of protecting the endangered Melipona bee, which is critical to the ecology of the Yucatán peninsula. Itinerary highlights included exclusive spa treatments using Guerlain's Abeille Royale product line, Maroma's bee sound healing experience, a Guerlain Abeille Royale scientific workshop, Mayan stargazing, an immersive visit to Maroma's on-site Meliponario and more.
