Brimming with glorious attractions, Oxford blends stunning architecture and fascinating museums with leafy parks and riverside walks. Home to the prestigious university, the city is dotted with magnificent colleges where alumni such as Oscar Wilde, Tolkien and Steven Hawking once theorised and debated. The Bodleian Library, Ashmolean Museum and Pitt Rivers Museum house astounding treasures. For outdoor pleasures there’s the Oxford Botanic Garden, founded in 1621, and punting on the River Cherwell. Shopping is good here, too, with the historic Covered Market offering an array of artisan foods and handicrafts. Equally steeped in tradition is British Pullman, whose historic carriages embody the Golden Age of Travel. At London Victoria Station, step aboard and settle into your uniquely designed carriage. Expect first-class service all the way: our liveried stewards are here to look after your every need. A Bellini cocktail starts the journey off in delicious style, followed by a lavish, seasonal brunch. Soak up the convivial ambience of your carriage as you admire the changing views through your window. Your guide meets you at Oxford Parkway Station and accompanies you on a private coach to the city centre. Here you are free to explore the city at leisure, whether strolling through the time-honoured streets or visiting the charming attractions. Ten minutes prior to the scheduled departure time on your ticket, please make your way back to Oxford Station, within walking distance of the city centre. Back on board, cocooned in your armchair, sip a glass of champagne prior to a fabulous three-course dinner and our sommelier’s choice of wine. Coffee is served before you arrive back at London Victoria.
