In the evening, meet your fellow guests at a private cocktail party at the hotel.

This afternoon, board the Eastern & Oriental Express at Hua Lamphong Station. Be sure to admire the tiger-inspired artwork emblazoned on the outside of the train.

It’s the work of celebrated artist Jacky Tsai, who is joining us on board.

After settling into your cabin, head to the teakwood Observation Car to watch the sun setting over the lush landscapes. Admire our display of award-winning photography from the ‘Eye on the Tiger’ exhibition at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

In the evening, make your way to one of the sumptuous Restaurant Cars for a gastronomic dinner of eastern and western specialities. Afterwards, enjoy a nightcap in the Bar Car and the chance to meet some of our special tiger ambassadors.

As morning breaks in rural Kanchanaburi Province, breakfast is served in your cabin. Later, the train arrives at River Kwai Station, where you disembark for your chosen excursion.

The Classic Tour takes you on a river cruise beneath the notorious bridge and includes a visit to the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre. Unseen Thailand sees you pedal off on an enchanting bicycle tour through paddy fields, stopping at a local farm for refreshments. Local Flavours begins with a visit to a wet market and culminates in a cooking class aboard a river raft.

After your excursion, rejoin the train and relax before dinner. Perhaps wind down over an enticing tiger-themed cocktail in the Bar Car.

Kuala Kangsar

As we enter Malaysia, notice the landscape become more dramatic with limestone massifs rearing up out of the rice fields.

After a relaxing morning and lunch on board, alight in Kuala Kangsar and travel by coach to the rural village of Labu Kubong. You’re welcomed with a traditional martial arts dance and a tour of the rice paddies and plantations. Alternatively, join our optional hill trek to the top of a nearby peak for breathtaking panoramas (suitable for advanced trekkers only).

Back on board, prepare for an unforgettable gastronomic experience as MasterChef UK champion and Save Wild Tigers ambassador Ping Coombes serves up an exclusive dinner.

Breakfast is served in your cabin as you savour the last leg of your journey. Course through expansive palm plantations dotted with traditional settlement homes in the southernmost state of Johor. Cross the Causeway over the Straits for a late-morning arrival into cosmopolitan Singapore.

After leaving the train, you will be escorted to the iconic hotel, Raffles, for an overnight stay in a Courtyard Suite. Spend the rest of the day at leisure before joining your fellow passengers alongside specially invited guests from Singapore for a fabulous farewell cocktail party in the hotel.

Enjoy an unhurried buffet breakfast in Raffles’ legendary Tiffin Room. Check out by noon and continue on your travels.

Save Wild Tigers

An International Charity with a Wild Ambition

Founder and CEO Simon Clinton created this foundation with one simple aim—to save wild tigers. After two-million years walking the earth, the species has experienced a drastic 97% decline.

With a background in brand marketing, Simon and his team are well aware that tiger imagery and symbolism has been used historically as a powerful selling strategy. Now, in an urgent bid to reverse the decline of wild-tiger numbers, the foundation uses the forces of media and marketing to draw the worlds attention to the plight of tigers in the wild. The mission is to raise essential funds, to support global conservation efforts and to help claw the species back from extinction.
