After lunch, disembark for a walking tour of Strasbourg, the region’s stunning capital. Visit the splendid cathedral, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, and the quaint merchants’ quarter of La Petite France. Back on board, dinner is served.

Set off for a tour and beer tasting at the Meteor Brewery, an independent, family-owned brewery established in 1640. Continue to the mountaintop village of La Petite-Pierre and savour a Michelin-starred lunch at Villa René Lalique.

Admire the René Lalique Collection, comprising over 500 examples of art nouveau and art deco crystal creations. Return to the barge and continue cruising to Dettwiller, enjoying dinner on board.

Today your guide leads you on a scenic drive to the famous vineyards of Alsace. Enjoy select wine tastings around the pretty village of Marlenheim and visit Domaine Frédéric Mochel, a family estate dating from the 1600s.

Return to the barge for lunch and enjoy a leisurely afternoon on board as we cruise to the village of Saverne.

Rise early and join your chef on a walk to Saverne’s bustling market, picking local delicacies for a gourmet lunch aboard the barge.

Later, visit the 18th-century Rohan Castle, also known as Château Neuf, and discover the town’s winding, colourful streets. Continue to the nearby Château de Hohbarr, perched on top of the hillside. Cruise to the village of Lutzelbourg as you enjoy a delicious lunch.

For the energetic, start the morning with hike up to Château de Lutzelbourg, a medieval ruin high above the town of Ottrott. Then return to the barge for your final cruise, taking in the picturesque Alpine scenery.

In the afternoon, take a short drive to Sarrebourg for a stroll through the Chapelle des Cordeliers. Stop by a local glass artist’s workshop on the way back to the barge for a private demonstration. Tonight, anticipate a sumptuous farewell dinner.
