01

St-Léger-sur-Dheune

Transfer from Paris to join Belmond Amaryllis at St-Léger-sur-Dheune. Take the opportunity to meet your crew over a champagne reception.

In the afternoon, meet a local wine expert who will be joining you for dinner. Savour sophisticated cuisine accompanied by a fine selection of vintages, such as Montrachet, Chablis and Mazis-Chambertin.

Santenay

Your leisurely cruise continues through the picturesque valley of Santenay. Your guide will escort you on a short excursion to meet the Comte de Ternay, whose family has owned the Château de Rully for over 800 years.

A buffet lunch welcomes you back to the barge. As the afternoon continues, take a scenic drive to Château de Chamirey for a vineyard tour.

This evening’s dinner is hosted on board by local grower, sommelier and wine consultant Pascal Wagner. He will be your guide through some of Burgundy’s best vintages. Highlights include Chevalier-Montrachet, Clos des Lambrays and Grands Echezeaux.

Côte de Beaune

After breakfast, relax on deck with a morning at leisure. Later on, alight to explore the Côte de Beaune district. Enjoy an extensive tasting menu at La Table d’Olivier Leflaive in Puligny-Montrachet. Take a tour through the vineyards, home to fields of Montrachet and other well-known white Grands Crus.

The exploration continues as you drive to Beaune to visit the historic cellars of Domaine Remoissenet. Enjoy a wine tasting before returning to the barge for another fabulous Grands Crus dinner. Look forward to vintages including La Grande Rue, La Romanée and Charmes-Chambertin.

Beaune

Your cruise continues along the enchanting River Saône. After lunch, alight to visit some of the highlights of Beaune. Take a private tour of the 15th-century Hôtel-Dieu, an architectural icon of medieval Burgundy. Then continue on to explore the wine cellars of Maison Joseph Drouhin.

Return to the barge for dinner, with wonderful Grands Crus such as Corton-Charlemagne, Charlemagne and Clos de Tart.

Clos de Vougeot

Enjoy a leisurely morning on board as you cruise along the Canal de Bourgogne towards Dijon

After lunch on board, set off on a scenic drive towards Clos de Vougeot. Take a private tour of this illustrious château, headquarters of the famous Chevaliers du Tastevin. Your tour continues to the world-renowned vineyards of La Romanée-Conti.

Return to the barge and freshen up for dinner. Tonight you will dine in the private cellars of Domaine Drouhin-Laroze, owned by Philippe and Christine Drouhin. Philippe will introduce a selection of Grands Crus, such as Chapelle Chambertin and Musigny. Christine has prepared some classic Burgundy dishes to complement each vintage.

Dijon

Your final tour of the week is to the stunning city of Dijon, capital of Burgundy. Stroll through the lively centre and accompany the barge’s chef to the open-air market. Select the best local ingredients which will then be used to create a delicious lunch.

A farewell gala dinner awaits this evening, accompanied again by a selection of Grands Crus. Their fame and exclusivity ensure this will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Savour Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet, Richebourg and, king of them all, La Romanée-Conti.

After breakfast the crew bids you farewell before you alight from the barge for your onward travel arrangements.
