Explore Beaune, the capital of the Burgundy wine region. Tour the magnificent 15th-century hospital Hôtel-Dieu, Hospice de Beaune then browse the chic boutiques.

Lunch is served on board before your cruise continues along the Saône past Tournus to Mâcon. This thriving town is the gateway to the Mâconnais wine region.



Visit the Abbey of Cluny, for centuries the largest church in the world. Explore the remains of the town’s original fortifications.

Have lunch as you cruise through the Beaujolais wine region. Sample the local wine, made from the Gamay Noir grape. This evening the barge moors at Montmerle.



Visit the beautiful 17th-century Château de Fléchères, and its 80 acres of parkland.

Return to the barge and savour lunch as your journey continues along the waterways to Lyon. After dinner walk to Lyon’s old town and enjoy a drink in a traditional Lyonnais bar.



Tour France's second city, Lyon, renowned for its culture and gastronomy. The ornate Basilica of Nôtre-Dame de Fourvière dominates the skyline.

Browse chic boutiques or relax in a pavement cafe. Have lunch in the city before returning to the boat. In the afternoon, we leave the River Saône to join the Rhône, berthing at Condrieu.


Tain l'Hermitage

Cruise the Rhône Valley. The vineyards of the Côtes Rôties and Côtes du Rhône almost reach the river’s edge.

Arrive at Tain l'Hermitage in the heart of the wine region. Visit Chez Merraton, a local wine producer, and enjoy a wine tasting. Visit the famous Valrhona chocolatiers and taste their delicious confectionary.

Back on board dine on a wonderful farewell gala dinner.
