Undoubtedly, the finest time to explore is at first or last light, when the sky’s changing sparks a buzz of activity among the furry and feathered residents of the reserve. Climb aboard a jeep with our rangers and head out into the 4,200 acre estate for a sunrise or sunset safari tour. You’ll be driven to the best spots for sightings of wild boar, pheasants, deer, foxes and porcupines. Catching a glimpse of these wild animals in the spectacular lighting takes on a mythical resonance, and is an enchanting way to reconnect with nature.

The thrill of the truffle hunt is an unmissable experience in Tuscany. You can’t help but feel that the serene surface of the landscape conceals a wealth of earthly treasures. Delve into the nearby oak forest on a guided hunt with up to eight guests. Experienced Lagotto Romagnolo dogs lead the way along an ancient riverbed where you’ll uncover the precious tubers, hiding beneath the surface like rare gems.
