40th Anniversary Afternoon Tea

As part of our 40th anniversary celebrations this enchanting afternoon tea features a delectable menu crafted in partnership by Raymond Blanc and Benoit Blin.
Immerse yourself in the historic charm of Le Grande Salle and choose from an extensive array of speciality teas, relish in delightful sandwiches and savour warm fruit scones served with clotted cream and homemade strawberry preserve. The irresistible pastry selection includes a pistachio macaron with bergamot, a yuzu and white chocolate barquette, a Yorkshire rhubarb-themed creation with Timur pepper and an Earl Grey and chocolate tartelette with a touch of lemon toffee.

A Bee-guiling Experience

Your apiary experience will introduce you to our two colonies of Buckfast honeybees, a hybrid bee developed by Benedictine monk Brother Adman in the early 20th century at Buckfast Abbey in Devon. Sample local honey including our own Le Manoir variety, then step into The Raymond Blanc Cookery School, where the tutors will demonstrate the versatility of this nutritious nectar. Filled with a renewed passion for the industrious little insects, enjoy a champagne reception followed by a four-course lunch.

In this exclusive activity, the experts at Cambridge Distillery lead you on a journey through the aromatic gin-crafting process. Discover the art of distillation and botanicals as you blend your own signature gin to take home in a limited-edition Le Manoir 40th Anniversary bottle.
You’re in the best hands: Cambridge Distillery is world-renowned for its innovative philosophy, winning countless international awards for every gin it releases. Their most extraordinary product is Watenshi Gin, created from “the angel’s share”, the fraction of distilled spirit that escapes into the ether. Will Lowe, the distillery’s founder, unearthed a way to capture this heavenly spirit to create the most exclusive gin in the world, of which only 36 bottles are available each year. A tasting of this fresh, pure, crystal-clear gin is included at an indulgent four-course dinner that finishes your fascinating day in sublime style.

It begins with a welcome from Raymond, together with chilled champagne and delicious canapés. Linger over an exquisite five-course lunch, where many of the ingredients are grown outside in the gardens or sourced from esteemed local suppliers considered part of the Le Manoir family. After coffee, tea and petits fours, take the opportunity to explore the gardens that are so intrinsic to Le Manoir’s success.
