Belmond Medical Center is a 22-bed Critical Access Hospital with 120 employees that provide a wide range of inpatient, outpatient and diagnostic services to residents of North Central Iowa.

We are partnered with Wright Medical Center in Clarion, Iowa and work closely with them to bring exceptional healthcare to the communities we serve.

Belmond Medical Center is a community owned facility that houses a Family Practice Clinic staffed with two Physicians, one Physician's Assistant, one Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and a well- trained staff. We pride ourselves on the provision of quality healthcare in a family centered environment.

The hospital is a licensed facility which cares for patients on the following levels of care: Inpatient Acute Care - nursing care provided 7 days a week, 24 hours a day; Skilled Nursing Care - care provided after period of acute care; Long Term Care - Belcare, daily basic care provided to these patients which is private pay; and Inpatient Hospice Care. Our emergency room is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We provide Inpatient, Outpatient and Same Day surgeries; specialty clinics are held each month. Rehabilitation services are offered by both the Cardio Pulmonary and Physical Therapy Departments. The Belmond Volunteer Ambulance Services is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and consist of a group of dedicated individuals who have taken EMT training through a college course that provides education for pre-hospital care. They are State Certified and attend monthly training classes.

Belmond Medical Center is currently undergoing a multi-million dollar expansion project that includes a totally new patient acute care area, new operating room suites, new emergency room, clinic addition and a new specialty clinic area.
